Experience in hard metal machining
BARBIER-EBELMANN has developed numerous techniques for machining hard metals.
Tungsten carbide is one of them. We can machine this material before sintering to obtain complex forms that would be impossible to achieve (or totally prohibitive) after sintering. After sintering, the guide surfaces simply need grinding.
These parts correspond to elements of pumps used to transport the sludge for analysis, in order to optimise the stresses applied to the drilling bit.
They have been machined using the method explained above.
